Dodge Celebrates Love for Customization With the Mopar ’19 Dodge Challenger
Dodge is all about customization, and it will celebrate 10 years of customization through its Mopar performance parts and accessories with a special-edition Challenger decked to the gills with accessories.
Dodge will base the Mopar ’19 Dodge Challenger on the Challenger R/T Scat Pack model draped in Pitch Black or White Knuckle paint. What makes this body so special are the Mopar Shakedown graphics that include unique racing stripes down the center of this muscular coupe. The stripes take a hard left around the Shaker Hood’s massive scoop with “Shaker” badges on each side.
Around back, the Mopar ’19 Challenger gains a decklid spoiler with Mopar Design badges. Each corner is highlighted by 20-by-9-inch forged aluminum wheels shod in P245/45ZR20 performance rubber and accented by Mopar-branded center caps and valve-stem caps. Keeping these wheels safe are standard Mopar wheel locks.
Inside, the Mopar ’19 Dodge Challenger boasts performance front seats wrapped in cloth with a two-tone Mopar logo on each seatback. There is also a Mopar ’19 badge on the instrument panel, premium Berber floor mats, and polished door-sill plates with the Challenger logo.
Under its hood, the Mopar ’19 Dodge Challenger boasts a 392-cubic-inch HEMI V-8 powerplant with 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. This engine boasts a Mopar cold-air intake system that injects colder, denser air into this HEMI V-8, enhancing throttle response. This power flows through a six-speed manual transmission and out to the rear wheels, but buyers can opt for an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Straight-line performance is great, but the Mopar ’19 Challenger gets an agility boost via Mopar silver-coated strut braces and an upgraded Brembo brake package with red calipers.
When you buy your Mopar ’19 Dodge Challenger, you also get an exclusive owner’s kit that includes the car’s birth certificate with the date of manufacture and proprietary build number. It also includes a full-color Mopar ‘19 booklet, a keepsake with the vehicle number engraved on it, and a Mopar ’19 rendering by the Mopar design team.
There will be 100 examples of the Mopar ’19 Dodge Challenger available in the U.S., and each one will run $45,835. We expect deliveries to arrive at Garber Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram serving the Jacksonville, Fleming Island, Orange Park, and Green Cove Springs areas in September 2019.
