Enter the ‘Drag Strip Showdown’ to Race a Demon
Dodge and the National Hot Rod Association invite Muscle car enthusiasts to take part in the Drag Strip Showdown. Now through Nov. 11, Drag Strip Showdown participants compete for the best race times in Dodge Challenger SRT Demon simulators with leaderboards instantly showing the top run times and ranks. At the end of the competition, the top four drivers with the best race times will win trips to the Dodge//SRT Bondurant Drag Racing School.
The top four ranking competitors will join Mopar Dodge Top Fuel driver Leah Pritchett and Mopar Dodge Charger Funny Car driver Matt Hagan for a final competition in an actual 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. Rated at 840 horsepower, the Challenger SRT Demon is the most powerful muscle car ever and the industry’s first and only purpose-built, street-legal production drag car.
“Always a popular draw at events, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon simulators provide drivers with incredibly realistic, interactive drag racing experiences as they go head-to-head to see who has the fastest reaction time and quarter-mile time,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Car Brands – Dodge//SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. “Honing these skills in the ‘Drag Strip Showdown’ will be excellent practice for working with Leah Pritchett and Matt Hagan before taking the wheel in an actual 840 horsepower Demon on the Bondurant drag racing track.”
At each event, you can see your ranking on the leaderboard as it updates instantly with scores from across the country. Check out the Dodge Garage hub to see the top competitors and updated info about the competition. The digital hub also has complete contest information, including stipulations and restrictions.
