Moving on Up in APEAL – FCA Brands Rank Higher than Last Year
All FCA U.S. brands – Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram – received an improved score in J.D. Power’s annual U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout Study. For the second straight year, the Chrysler Pacifica earned the top spot for minivans, while Dodge and Jeep earned second and third respectively for the most improved brands in 2018. Ram and Dodge place in top five mass-market brands overall, moving up the line from last year.
“My colleagues and I are pleased to see continued improvement across all of our brands and the second consecutive win for our segment-leading Chrysler Pacifica minivan,” said Scott Garberding, Head of Quality, FCA. “We are focused on building a bridge of sustained quality into our future vehicles as we look to bring industry-leading innovation into our forthcoming lineup while also remaining committed to the award-winning vehicles in our existing product portfolio.”
This data is gathered by J.D. Power’s Power Circle Ratings for an unbiased and thorough collection. Responses from over 80,000 new-vehicle buyers or lessees about their satisfaction with their new vehicle after the first 90 days make up this study. J.D. Power gives awards based on these responses and help provide the manufacturers with insight into what their customers seek in new vehicles so they can design future models to meet these desires.
The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica earned the highest score in the minivan segment, easily surpassing contenders in the performance, and the features and instruments categories. The available hybrid powertrain makes this a smart buy for families on the go who want to spend less time at the pump. And with convenience features like redesigned Stow ‘n Go seating and the available Stow ‘n Vac integrated vacuum cleaner, your daily commute will be a breeze.
In the large-car segment, the 2018 Dodge Charger took home second while its platform mate, the 2018 Chrysler 300, scored third.

The spacious interior matches the racing-inspired exterior and offers a Cold Weather Package with a heated steering wheel and heated cloth driver and passenger seats.
The 2018 Chrysler 300 delivers elegant and timeless designs matched by efficient performance under the hood, thanks to the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine.
