Drive Smarter, Not Harder in Your 2019 Ram ProMaster City

By Justin Cupler | July 19th, 2018

The 2019 Ram ProMaster City offers modern styling and professional appeal in a compact, capable package. The new ProMaster City competes in the compact Class 1 van segment with a focus on commercial-customer needs and cost of ownership. The smaller of two Ram van offerings is available in two-seat Tradesman cargo van and five-seat passenger wagon configurations in two different trims: Tradesman and SLT.

Just like its big brother, the ProMaster, the 2019 Ram ProMaster City is getting a light nose job. The front end will deliver a more assertive stance with a prominent “Ram” emblazoned in a grille that’s flanked by sturdy black bumpers. The Ram insignia in the bumper takes cues from the Ram truck lineup to instill more continuity across the lineup.

“Ram has taken a larger presence in the commercial vehicle market with the help of our Ram ProMaster and Ram ProMaster City,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand – FCA. “Our van offerings answer the key segment demands with class-exclusive features, greater capability and low total cost of ownership.”

Also new for the 2019 Ram ProMaster City are fleet-friendly telematics. Ram Telematics, powered by Verizon Connect, keeps track of vehicle and driver behavior data to help you save money on fuel, improve route efficiency, and promote safe driving habits. Plus, the new system offers real-time vehicle diagnostics and performance data so you can help your team figure out what’s happening on the go.

The 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine turns out 178 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque, and routes it through a smooth nine-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain nets a best-in-class 28 mpg highway.

You’ll also get best-in-class cargo width between wheel wells of 48.4 inches, which allows pallets to fit flat on the floor. This also helps it haul a best-in-class 131.7 cubic feet of cargo in the Tradesman model. The uninterrupted rear cargo floor and nearly vertical side panels provide lots of room to upfit your van for your business needs.

The Tradesman model offers a best-in-class 1,885-pound payload capacity so you can power through almost any job. With an unsurpassed towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds,  you can bring along the gear necessary for work or play. The available Mopar trailer-tow group includes a Class III receiver hitch and a wiring harness with seven- and four-pin connectivity.

Besides the Telematics provided by Verizon, your 2019 Ram ProMaster City ensures you’re never disconnected when you’re in it. The available Uconnect 3 NAV infotainment system features a 5-inch touchscreen with voice command, Bluetooth streaming audio, and navigation to keep you connected and in command. The integrated steering wheel controls allow you to control all this tech without taking your hands off the wheel.

Do more for your business today, test drive a Ram ProMaster City. This versatile and proven van offers you best-in-class features where it counts so you can bring the best to every job.
