For a drag-racing-inspired, street-legal muscle car with top-of-the-line tech, check out the 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320. Named for the measure of a quarter-mile – 1,320 feet – Dodge built it to dominate in the short straightaway thanks to tech from the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. Included in the updates are Angry Bee logos — a new interpretation of the legendary Dodge Super Bee logo — on the front end, illuminated air catcher headlamps, instrument panel, and startup splash screen in the gauge cluster.

The power inside this Angry Bee comes from a 392 HEMI V-8 engine that cranks out 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with the deft TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and produces efficient and dependable performance through every trip down the track. The Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 comes with newly developed Nexen SUR4G Drag Spec 275/40R20 street-legal drag radial tires that offer steady grip time after time so you can hone in on your desired quarter-mile time.

“All it takes is an evening spent at a local drag strip to learn that the grassroots drag-racing community is large and extremely loyal to their cars,” says Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Car Brands – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler, and FIAT, FCA – North America. “We created the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 for the heart of the sport, the bracket racer who wants to drive to the track, suit up, go fast, and go home with a big smile and maybe a trophy in the trunk with minimal prep and upkeep.”

Dodge designed the Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 to cater to bracket racing, which is when competitors race the clock and each other, within a standardized time limit. This popular style values a wide skill set with your drag vehicle including launch skill, consistency, and racing within the preselected time target without “busting the bracket” by going too fast. This is the racer that Dodge built the Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 for.

With these features, the 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 sprints to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and completes the quarter-mile in 11.7 seconds at 115 mph. These times beat the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack by a definitive 0.3 seconds in both the quarter-mile time and 0-to-60 time.

The Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 debuted with a fan-voted favorite exterior color called “Black Eye.” To commemorate the new Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320s unveiling, Mopar Dodge Top Fuel dragster will have a special 1320-themed paint scheme.

Dodge stuffed the new Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320s cockpit with tons of convenience-focused, useful tech. Enjoy dual-zone automatic temperature controls, electric power steering, a power driver’s seat, keyless entry with push-button start, rear park assist, and a rearview camera.
